ONE Esports Officially Announces MPLI, To Be Held Later This Year!

Finally, what the Indonesian Mobile Legends community has been waiting for has arrived, because ONE Esports has officially announced that they are still collaborating with Moonton to hold the MPL Invitational 2021 tournament again.

The MPL Invitational or often abbreviated as MPLI itself is planned to be held in the last quarter of 2021, which is between September and December. As usual, this MPLI will invite the best Mobile Legends teams in the Southeast Asia region to fight for the title of the best team in Southeast Asia and a fairly large prize.

Still the same as last season, MPLI this time will still be present with a total prize of US $ 100,000 or the equivalent of more than Rp. 1.4 Billion. This is certainly a fantastic number that can be contested by the best teams from Southeast Asia.

Looking back at last year, the tournament was held on November 27 to December 6, 2020 and it is possible that the MPLI organizers will use this date again to hold the prestigious tournament.

Indonesia Becomes the Defending Champion of MPLI

Throughout the MPLI tournament, teams from Indonesia have so far dominated the tournament. Of the 2 previous tournaments, RRQ Hoshi and Alter Ego succeeded in bringing home the trophy.

RRQ Hoshi himself succeeded in overthrowing a team from Singapore, Resurgense with a landslide score of 3-0, thus successfully bringing the inaugural MPLI trophy. Meanwhile, Alter Ego also succeeded in overthrowing the representative team from the Philippines, BREN Esports with the same score as RRQ Hoshi when they defeated Resurgence, which was 3-0 without reply.

Of course, it will be interesting to see the progress of the Indonesian teams in the ONE Esports MPLI tournament, considering how superior the Indonesian teams were when they reached the peak of the tournament.
